Penny Rae is the acoustic collaboration between Randi Ryan and Andrew Adams, and is based in Nashville. They have released a Christmas single called "Baby, it's cold inside".
"From Patti Griffin and Journey to Ben Folds Five and Radiohead, Penny Rae draws on a wide range of musical influences making their sound difficult to define. In an effort to define the band’s sound, Andrew said “Think acoustic-based, vocal-driven Americana. With a little pop/country and minimal hipster. And coffee. Lots of coffee. I will not start wearing unnecessary scarves.”"
