Lauren Housley is a soul singer-songwriter from Manchester in the UK. I've heard about her thanks to Charlotte Gomes who is managing the promotion of Lauren's new EP.

Lauren has released her first EP "One Step Closer". This Ep will be out June 11, 2012. You can already have a taste of this great record :

This EP offers a varied selection of songs to listen to. You will find in it from beautiful ballads with songs like "One Step Closer" or "Face The World Alone" to upbeat songs like the single "My Baby Cry".

"One Step Closer" conjures the spirit of Otis Redding and other legend on the "Stax" roster. The whole EP was recorded within 3 days at Cotton Mouth Studio so it does have a "Rough and Ready", raw, live sound to it."
